Five For Friday - June 12

I am excited to link up with DoodleBugs Five For Friday
Ahhh, SUMMER!

Kindergarten ELA Best Practices!
I have been working on my presentation for preplanning, yes I know that it is June...
I had to have it completed and turned in to have copies made.
If you'd like to take a look at my presentation feel free :)

I will warn you that it is lengthy.

Summer Nails!
I haven't had a manicure or pedicure in what feels like over a year. So, this was a real treat!

Target Dollar Spot Finds!
Some of these were $1 and some were $3.
Foam Dice, lunch box, string lights with a battery pack-perfect for your door or bulletin board, jute rope, light up bracelets, hanging lanterns!

Entertainment
I finished The 5th Wave and it was so good. Now on to book 2 in the series. I plan to do lots of reading this week at the beach!

These are some that I plan to finish first!

I have started revising some old products, made some new ones and even put up some FREEBIES all in the last week. :)

Erin Condren Life Planner!

So excited! I just ordered my 2016 Life Planner. I love that you can order the rest of this year and get the following year. If you enjoy color coding, organization, and planning ahead, you NEED one of these! I used mine like crazy this past year and it made writing down a "meeting" so much easier when you can write it in a pretty Life Planner.
I use find it useful to keep up with the usual: appointments, meetings, report cards, progress reports, grades due, assessments,
as well as blog posts I either plan to write or want to remember to read, planning TeacherPayTeachers product goals each week, and writing DonorsChoose projects. You can use it for basically anything you can think of and more!
Last year, I ordered this design.

This year I just ordered

Five for Friday June 5th

I am excited to link up with DoodleBugs Five For Friday
First of all, let me explain that I have started SUMMER BREAK and thank goodness for no alarms!

Quadcopters!
At my mom and dad's we were flying quadcopters and of course one landed on the neighbor's shed and was stuck. So, my hubby had to get on a ladder to get it down and that's my sister holding the ladder. Too funny!

Farmers Market
My husband and I started off the summer going to the Farmers Market! The Blue Donkey Iced Coffee is SOO GOOD! My husband loves King of Pops. We also picked up some Georgia grown peaches and collards. Yum!

Yard Sale Finds!
We often go to yard sales and end up picking things up for the classroom- remember we are both teachers!
This time I found some Barbie kites for 25 cents that will be great for the treasure box and some crafty things that were thrown in to the purchase for free. I also bought a galloon bag full of temporary tattoos for $1. We always find books at yard sales and if they are 25 cents we either buy them for one of our classroom libraries or to read ourselves.

Entertainment
I am reading the 5th Wave and we are planning to watch about a million things this summer:
All Jurassic Park movies, we've been watching The Profit, Big Bang Theory, the latest season of Vikings, Walking Dead and The 100.

Already planning for next year!
Of course I have been out of school for almost a week and I am already making plans for next year. I am wanting to use Class Dojo with my First Graders, but I also want a physical/visual positive behavior board in the classroom where students can go move their "monster" (I am making this out of magnets, hopefully I will have it done soon to explain further) when they are making good choices etc. So, I plan to make Monster themed everything for my classroom. Let me know if you have seen some good Monster themed classrooms or charts or if you know of a specific product that is great to use with Class Dojo.

I hope you enjoyed my randomness from the week!

June Currently

I am linking up with Oh Boy Fourth Grade for June Currently

Listening- Pandora while packing up my room. I just moved my entire class from one school to a new one and then worked on unpacking boxes and then putting all the supplies away to prepare for the floor to be cleaned over the summer. I am excited to be at a new school but sad that my old school was repurposed and all my friends/colleagues were spread out throughout the county. We will have to make an effort to keep in touch. I am used to having a parapro in my room and talking during teacher workdays, but I am in first grade for next year and realized I will be in my room alone quite often before and after work. Listening to music seems like a great thing to do in the afternoons while cleaning, organizing, planning, etc.

Loving- My new hair dyer! I don't think I talked about this before, but I may have. I bought a new hair dryer on amazon and it is amazing and has cut my hair drying time in half! It is a ceramic hair dryer. The one I bought is no longer available, but I suggest that if you've had the same hair dryer for over 5 years, you should invest in a new one. :)

Thinking- I have got to get to work on a TPT To Do List and capitalize on this time off. I am starting a new grade level and want to have some resources ready to go once the year starts. Any suggestions for things I need to make for 1st grade? I also want to make more clip art. I really enjoy making clip art and it always makes me smile when my clip art sells and I imagine someone else using the clip art for their own products and classrooms.

Wanting- To post a new DonorsChoose project. I love DonorsChoose and have acquired so many wonderful things for my classroom using DonorsChoose. I need to post a new project for some first grade resources. If you have not used DonorsChoose, you should! Let me know if you have questions. I also run a Facebook Community supporting DC Projects. Click HERE to see the facebook page Georgia Peaches on DonorsChoose.

Needing- To exercise! Need I say more?

Summer Lovin- Can't wait to get back to the beach! June 14th hurry up! I have been excited for the summer to read books, TPT, plan my new class arrangement, and work on my blog. Sorry April got away from me and I barely blogged. I wish I would have done more. :(

So, here is a photo recap of April
We had a Snow Cone Truck come to our school!

Our school library gave away lots of books. I picked some to read this summer myself.

If you only knew how many cart loads of boxes and stuff I pushed this past month!

My amazing parapro that retired in April recovered my glider, so I can start new next year.

Our school bought all the teachers Italian Ice one day. Yum!

My new classroom.

Last look at my old classroom with everything out.

My favorite Oak Tree at my old school. I used to see it everyday I pulled up to school and everyday when I left.

Currently May!

Currently May! I am joining up with Oh Boy, Fourth Grade for this Linky!

1. Audio Books- I have been using Audible in the car and even at home while cooking I will continue to listen to audible using my phone. I am really enjoying it so far. It is a lot better than CD's because I can use it in the car and then anywhere else I can take my phone.

I really enjoyed these books on audible:

I am now listening to,

2. Lunar Chronicles- I also like reading books:) This set is SOOO GOOD! I can't wait for the next book to come out. If you love Fairy Tales and Fantasy, you will love these books.

3. I just can't get over there are only 4 weeks left in this school year! Time to start thinking about an End of the Year Party! My grade level discussed a Hawaiian Luau, but we haven't work out any details. Pinterest, here I come...

4. I really want a new purse. I've had my same Vera Bradley for about a year and that is a long time for me. I may start shopping after I finish this post. :)

5. Lots happening this Summer!
My husband and I are searching for a new home.
My school is being repurposed (meaning it is closing this year) and all the employees are being transferred to other schools in the system. This is a sad and exciting time for us. So, I am sure that means I will be in my new school getting things "just right" before school begins in August.
We already have a beach trip planned that I am SUPER excited about!
I am hoping to get lots done on my TPT to do list, including clip art!
